Ice Storm Leaves Thousands in the Dark for Two Days

A November ice storm swept across Missouri, first shutting down Springfield, then striking Washington county. At right, in Potosi, telephone and power companies planned to work all night to restore service to nearly 4000 customers, who lived without electricity for more than two days.
